HISTORY
The Peninsula Golf & Country Club
PGCC was originally founded as The Beresford Country Club on December 7, 1911. The original course, designed by Thomas Bendelow and constructed by E.C. Lydon, was redesigned in 1922 by the legendary Donald Ross, making PGCC the only Ross course west of Colorado. Beresford Country Club became The Peninsula Golf & Country Club in 1945, and has since remained a premier private, family-oriented club dedicated to providing members with exceptional service, programs, staff and facilities. Our Club Historian, Michael Jamieson, has served since 1989, authoring two Club history books, more than 250 Club newsletter articles, and curating historical displays throughout the Clubhouse.
